About Oksenholt Capital
Oksenholt Capital Management LLC is a privately owned investment firm investing our own capital across public equities, real estate and operating businesses.
We didn’t start with a fund. We started by building businesses, buying real estate and reinvesting what those businesses produced.
That still shapes how we think.
We like things we understand, people we trust and investments where we can live with the downside.
If we don’t like what we see, we wait.
What We Do
Oksenholt Capital invests across three areas:
They look different, but we tend to ask the same basic questions.
What does it earn? Who is running it? How much debt is there? What can go wrong? What are we paying?
And would we still want to own it if nobody offered us a price tomorrow?
Investment Leadership
Public Equities & Real Estate
The investment side of Oksenholt Capital is intentionally small.
We do the work, talk it through and make decisions with our own money behind them.

Jon Oksenholt
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Jon Oksenholt has spent most of his adult life building businesses, buying real estate and investing his own money.
He started in real estate at 18 with roughly $10,000. Over time, those investments grew into real estate holdings worth nine figures.
Separately, he started a service business with $5,100 and built it into a group of debt-free businesses worth nine figures.
Those two experiences probably explain more about the way he invests than anything else.
Jon has been an owner, operator, employer, borrower and investor. He has made payroll, signed leases, bought assets, sold assets and lived through markets that looked very different on the way down than they did on the way up.
Today, he leads Oksenholt Capital’s investment strategy and capital allocation, including public equities.
He likes to understand what he owns, keep debt under control and think about what can go wrong before getting too excited about what can go right.
Price matters to him. So does conviction.
If he thinks something is badly mispriced, he is comfortable owning a meaningful amount of it.
He is also comfortable changing his mind. Facts change. People change. Businesses change.
There is no prize for being stubborn.
His years as an operator still affect the way he looks at investments. A set of financial statements reads differently after you have actually run the business behind them.
Jon holds a B.A. from Walla Walla University and a J.D. from the University of Washington.
EJ
Investment Partner – Real Estate
EJ works with Jon across Oksenholt Capital’s real estate investments.
He is involved in underwriting, financing, construction, legal work and the day-to-day details that can make or break a deal.
He works closely with lenders, attorneys, contractors, property managers and operating partners.
EJ usually wants to know what can go wrong before spending too much time on what can go right. That is a useful instinct in real estate.
Investments & Real Estate
Development, Leasing & Property Operations
Owning real estate is one thing. Running it is another.
Development, leasing and maintenance are handled by people who spend their days on the properties themselves.
Most of what protects the value of a building happens long before anyone thinks about selling it.
Shiv
Real Estate Development
Shiv oversees real estate development across the portfolio, including new projects, renovations and major capital improvements from planning through completion.
Colton
Leasing
Colton oversees leasing across the real estate portfolio, with a focus on occupancy and long-term tenant relationships.
Angel
Maintenance & Landscaping
Angel oversees maintenance, landscaping and the day-to-day care of our real estate portfolio.
A 20+ year veteran of the Oksenholt Companies, he has been an important part of our real estate operations for more than two decades.
Operating Leadership
Hospitality, Technology & Operating Businesses
Our operating businesses are run by operators.
We try to put good people in charge, give them real responsibility and let them do their jobs.
Oksenholt Capital provides capital and support where it helps. The people closest to the business usually know it best.
Atharva
Technology & Digital Platforms
Atharva leads technology and digital development across several of our operating businesses.
His work covers product development, automation, data and the systems behind day-to-day operations.
A lot of his job is figuring out where technology can actually make things easier.
He is equally willing to leave something alone when more technology would only make it harder. That judgment matters.
Bobby
Hospitality Growth & Sales
Bobby has spent more than twenty years in vacation rentals, hospitality and sales.
He has worked both in local operations and in senior national sales roles.
At Oksenholt, he works across hospitality growth, sales and strategic relationships.
He understands the numbers, but his real strength is people. Hospitality is still a relationship business.
Mai
Operations & Finance Integration
Mai works across the operating businesses where operations and finance meet.
She makes sure what is happening in the business is actually reflected in the numbers.
She also helps make sure those numbers are being used to run the business better.
A lot of her work is about catching things early and keeping people on the same page. That usually means fewer surprises.
Raj
Accounting & Reporting
Raj leads accounting and financial reporting across the operating businesses.
He is responsible for accurate books, clean financial statements and consistent reporting across entities.
It is the kind of work people barely notice when it is done well. We rely on it every day.
Good decisions start with numbers we can trust.
How We Work
Jon and EJ spend most of their time on investments and capital allocation.
Shiv, Colton and Angel keep the real estate portfolio running day to day, across development, leasing and maintenance.
Atharva, Bobby, Mai, Raj and the broader operating teams spend most of theirs running businesses.
There is plenty of overlap, and we like it that way.
Operating businesses has made us better investors. Investing our own capital has made us more careful operators.
Our Structure
Oksenholt Capital is privately owned and invests its own money.
There are no outside investors and no fund-life requirements.
Our operating businesses carry no outside debt. In real estate, where debt makes sense, we generally use conservative, non-recourse financing.
That gives us room to move when we see something we like and room to do nothing when we don’t.
We built it that way on purpose.
Love, Loyalty & Cashflow
We’ve used those words for years. They aren’t really a mission statement.
Love what you do. Be loyal to good people. Pay attention to cash flow.
That still covers a lot.
